The Day it all Changed

Friday 08/01/2025. During the late afternoon I was training one of my teen clients at our private training studio. He was cooling down and stretching on a fold out mat while I was sitting next to him on the weight bench. I don't remember what we were talking about, but it was a very relaxed atmosphere, when I suddenly my hearing disappeared and a very intense mix of hissing, whistling and high-pitched sounds took its place. I first thought it was a sudden pressure change, and tried to yawn it out, so it could "pop". I remember I sneezed a couple of times a few hours prior and maybe this was a delayed issue. I went home still convinced this would pass, but within the hour I realized that this was something "else" than a clogged ear and the noise became unbearable at that point. I decided to get a checkup.
After an examination at my local urgent care, I was told that my ears look perfect, no damage or wax build up and that it should make an appointment with an ENT as soon as possible. Vertigo had been an "on and off" issue for me for the prior 2 years, but at that point I had no Vertigo episodes for at least 8 months. This all changed the next day.
