Wednesday 08/06/2025. It took a few days to get an appointment with an ENT due to the weekend and some online scheduling confusion. At the office I was given an ear exam, which again was normal, as well as a hearing test which showed that I had no more hearing left on my right. It was a moment of shock, but I put my hope into treatment.

The ENT prescribed 12 days of the max dosage of oral steroids, motion sickness meds for the vertigo, gave me a brain MRI script and sent me on my way.

Before he left he said he was going to consult with a colleague of his, who is more experienced with these specific symptoms and get her advice going forward. I was to see him again after finishing the steroids and getting the MRI.
