Saturday, 08/02/2025. After barely sleeping due to the tinnitus, I woke up with a severe sense of spinning. I was not able to raise my head without vomiting and was barely able to walk. We went straight to our local emergency room where I kept vomiting and dry heaving until I was given Droperidol, an antiemetic and sedative, which made want to crawl out of my skin, but gave me relief after about an hour. A CT scan and bloodwork came back normal. I was sent home and again referred to an ENT. The weekend and pretty much the next month was spent on the couch due to the severity of the vertigo.

I had a history of several severe Vertigo episodes, which disabled me from driving and working, throughout the previous 2 years. Each lasting 2-3 weeks, treated more or less successfully with oral steroids, but they were never connected to any ear issues, as CT scans and ENT assessments came back normal. During the second year I started going to physical therapy, was diagnosed with central vertigo by a vestibular specialist and then entered the care of a chiropractor, which seemed to have done the trick as I had no more issues with vertigo for nearly a year before my hearing disappeared.
